Pedro Mendes signs 4-year contract with Rennes

Well-traveled defender Pedro Mendes is taking his talents to Ligue 1.
Stade Rennais announced Monday that the 24-year-old put pen to paper on a four-year contract, making him the club's sixth signing of the summer.

Mendes - who was at bankrupt Parma last season and previously featured at Sporting Clube de Portugal, Servette, and Real Madrid - took part in his first training immediately after signing the contract.
