Report: Liverpool to recall Origi from loan with Lille this month
Liverpool are reportedly set to recall Divock Origi from his loan deal with Lille and bring the Belgian attacker to Anfield this month.
Liverpool signed Origi, 19, this summer in a £10-million deal with the French side before deciding that the youngster would benefit most from remaining with the Ligue 1 club for the rest of the season on loan.
But with Brendan Rodgers' side scuffling in the Premier League and - until a recent 4-1 win over Swansea - struggling to generate offensive opportunities, the Liverpool Echo reports that the Reds are prepared to pay £3 million to end Origi's loan deal prematurely.
Whether the Belgian would actually prove to be an upgrade on the Reds' current attacking options is up for debate, however.
Divock Origi stats in Ligue 1: 0.28 NPG+A / 90, 0.28 xG+xA / 90
Rickie Lambert is at 0.14 / 0.26. Other players in range: Puncheon, Boyd.

After an impressive World Cup in which he was one of Belgium's standout players, it's no surprise that many supporters are clamoring for the teenager to don the famous red kit sooner rather than later.
