Second chances are rare in football, but Radamel Falcao has made the most of his.

The AS Monaco striker scored his 10th and 11th goals of the young Ligue 1 season Friday, condemning Lille en route to an emphatic 4-0 victory.

The 31-year-old is a long way from those dark days in England. Nightmarish loan spells at both Manchester United and Chelsea - coupled with frustrating injuries - threatened to ruin his career. But he returned to Monaco last year with something to prove, and showed he can lead the line like the best of them.

Monaco rewarded Falcao with a new three-year contract in the summer, and he's already begun to repay his club.

Here's a statistical look at just how devastating he's been:

52.63 - Falcao's average number of minutes per goal in Ligue 1.

47.8% - Falcao's shot conversion rate in Ligue 1.

52.3% - Percentage of Monaco's league goals that Falcao has accounted for.

17 - Number of Ligue 1 clubs Falcao has outscored through seven matches.

90 - Number of clubs in the top-five European leagues with as many or fewer league goals as Falcao.

1 - Falcao is the first player in the top-five European leagues to reach 10 league goals this season.

If the Santa Marta native can continue scoring at this pace, he'll no doubt break his personal-best league-record 28 goals with Atletico Madrid in 2012-13.
