Messi trolls Pique with Neymar photo: 'He has returned'
Lionel Messi didn't waste an opportunity to troll teammate Gerard Pique as one of the most prolific triumvirates in football history reunited for a picture Tuesday.
Messi posted a picture on Instagram of himself alongside Luis Suarez and former Barcelona teammate Neymar just weeks after the Brazilian's controversial transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
But it was Messi who took it a step further with a message for Pique - who infamously posted a picture alongside Neymar declaring that the 25-year-old would remain at Barca before his €222-million transfer - writing, "Volvio" which translates to "he has returned," according to Jake Polden from the Mirror.
But it was all in good fun, as a subsequent photo showed the three with Pique, as well as Douglas, Ivan Rakitic, and Dani Alves.

The pair even recreated the pose, accompanied by the same message, that triggered a storm of criticism for Pique:
Se queda 😂🤙🏾@3gerardpique pic.twitter.com/JAQoMfSLGT

The timing of the photos is also a tad peculiar considering Barcelona announced Tuesday it's launching a €8.5-million lawsuit against Neymar.
