Report: PSG approach United's Rashford over possible transfer
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly identified Marcus Rashford as someone who could strengthen their attacking options at the Parc des Princes.
PSG have already contacted the Manchester United forward about a potential transfer, and his representatives have been receptive to their approach so far, according to ESPN's Julien Laurens.
Rashford, 24, scored only four Premier League goals last season and lost his place in the England squad in March. However, United are expected to hold out for a high fee if talks commence with PSG.
The Mancunian's contract expires at the end of the season, but United have an option to extend his terms by a further year.
Rashford previously expressed his wish to overcome his poor form in a "fresh start" under new manager Erik ten Hag.
"I'm in a good place right now," he said during United's preseason tour. "I'm just looking forward to getting more games under my belt."
Christophe Galtier, who took the reins at PSG on July 5, already has Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Hugo Ekitike, and Pablo Sarabia at his disposal up front. However, the head coach revealed Thursday that football adviser Luis Campos has been working with president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and the club's other executives to add to Galtier's attacking contingent.
"The club is working in this direction but whether by the end of the transfer window an offensive player will arrive I cannot confirm it," Galtier said. "But the club is working hard on this position."
