France defender Pavard wins World Cup Goal of the Tournament
The 2018 FIFA World Cup may have finished 10 days ago, but members of the France team are still winning awards.
Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard, who was something of a revelation playing out of position at right-back in Russia, has been honored with the official Goal of the Tournament gong for this stunning strike in the manic 4-3 win over Argentina in the round of 16.

Pavard's flat, swerving hit, which drew the score to 2-2 at the time, has come out on top in a tournament boasting numerous terrific goals. It may also have helped to earn him an ahead-of-schedule transfer to Bayern Munich.
