Valtteri Bottas: Can't find pace in Miami

Bottas finished 16th in the Miami Grand Prix F1 race at Miami International Autodrome on Sunday.

Analysis:

The Kick Sauber lacked pace all weekend, as Bottas was eliminated in Q1 in both the sprint shootout and traditional qualifying. Looking to work around those deficiencies, he began the grand prix on soft tires with the intention of utilizing a two-stop race -- a unique strategy relative to the rest of the field. Unfortunately for Bottas, a safety car was deployed shortly after he made his pit stop, compromising the strategy. Bottas has now finished 16th or worse in four of six races to begin 2024.
