Oscar Piastri: Potential Podium Fades

Piastri finished 13th in the Miami Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Miami International Autodrome on Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

Piastri would show great pace and race among the leaders early. He'd take P2 by getting around Charles Leclerc on lap 4. The young driver would inherit the lead when Max Verstappen pitted on lap 24. Piastri would hold it for a few laps before pitting himself on lap 28. After the safety car and restart he would get entangled during a battle with Carlos Sainz on lap 41. Piastri's McLaren would sustain front wing damage and he would have to pit and slide to the rear of the running order. He would record the fastest lap of the race on his march up to P13 by the checkered flag.
