McLaren signs Norris to multi-year contract extension
McLaren and driver Lando Norris agreed to a multi-year contract extension, the team announced Friday.
"It's a great feeling to be staying in papaya," Norris said in a statement. "I've grown up with McLaren and feel at home here; the team are like family to me. The journey so far has been exciting. We've had ups and downs, but last season showed our desire to get back to competing at the front of the grid."
Norris was previously under contract through 2025 after signing a four-year deal in February 2022. He'll be racing with teammate Oscar Piastri for at least the next three seasons.
The 24-year-old placed sixth in the drivers' standings in 2023 after finishing second in six different races en route to his best year since joining F1 in 2019.
Norris' deal comes after Ferrari extended Charles Leclerc on Thursday.
