Morocco's bid for the 2026 World Cup has passed FIFA's evaluation tests, meaning the country's proposal to host the tournament will now proceed to a vote.

The north African nation's World Cup bid will be going up against the joint proposal by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, and FIFA members will decide on the tournament host in a meeting in Moscow on June 13, one day before this summer's World Cup kicks off in Russia.

Morocco's bid scored a 2.7 out of five from FIFA's Evaluation Task Force, while the United 2026 bid was given a four out of five. FIFA's findings also labelled Morocco a "high risk" in terms of its stadiums, accommodation, and transportation, while the United bid was not deemed a high risk in any category. Morocco's bid could have been disqualified if it had scored less than two.

FIFA Council must give one final approval to both bids on June 10 before voting opens up to all 207 members on June 13.
