USA Basketball promoted Sacramento Kings forward Marvin Bagley III and San Antonio Spurs guard Derrick White to the senior team on Friday, ESPN's Brian Windhorst reports.

The team cut Chicago Bulls forward Thaddeus Young and Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo following Friday's scrimmage, Windhorst adds.

Training camp continues next week in Los Angeles before final roster decisions are made.

The 20-year-old Bagley finished third on the Kings in scoring with 14.9 points per game last season as a rookie and shot over 50 percent from the field.

White, 25, averaged 9.9 points and 3.7 rebounds across 67 contests for the Spurs during his sophomore year.

Team USA will kick off its FIBA World Cup campaign on Sept. 1 when it takes on the Czech Republic in Shanghai, China.
