Denmark supporters will be haunted by images of Zlatan Ibrahimovic for some time after his second goal Tuesday ended the country's Euro 2016 dream and secured Sweden's place in next summer's competition.
After opening the scoring with a clever flick from a corner in the first half, Ibrahimovic thumped in a superb free-kick that crept over the Danish wall and tucked inside the post to give Sweden a 2-0 lead with less than 20 minutes remaining.
Denmark made it close by scoring two goals, but was unable to overcome a 4-3 aggregate deficit.
11 - 11 of Sweden’s last 15 goals in qualifying (including play-offs) have been bagged by Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Machine.
