Ibrahimovic powers Sweden into Euro 2016 with brace against Denmark
Sweden booked its place in the European Championship for a fifth consecutive tournament thanks to a 4-3 aggregate victory over Denmark.
A brace from the country's all-time leading scorer, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, helped Sweden secure a spot in next summer's tournament in France with a 2-2 draw in Copenhagen on Tuesday.

Ibrahimovic's effortless finish in the first half extinguished the festive atmosphere inside the Parken Stadium and concluded a period of sustained pressure from the hosts in the Swedish end.

Denmark pressured Sweden's backline for much of the opening minutes, with the country's best chance resulting in a goal-line clearance from Kim Kallstrom that smacked off his own crossbar before being hit to safety.
The lead could have been doubled when Daniel Agger attempted to intercept a cross. But, fortunately for the former Liverpool defender, the deflection from his boot crept over the crossbar and out for a corner.
Luck continued to elude Denmark as yet another chance was squandered after the break. Christian Eriksen looked destined to cut into Sweden's lead with a powerful shot from the penalty area - until the ball bounced off a Swedish defender and safely into Andreas Isaksson's hands.
Denmark later enjoyed a period of pressure against the Swedish backline, but, much like the first half, had the wind taken out of its sails when the visitors were awarded a free-kick just outside the box.

Ibrahimovic calmly stepped up, lined up his shot, and booked Sweden's ticket to France with a sublime free-kick that crept over the Danish wall and tucked inside the near post.
11 - 11 of Sweden’s last 15 goals in qualifying (including play-offs) have been bagged by Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Machine.

Denmark desperately attempted to make a game of it late with two goals inside the final 10 minutes, but ultimately came up short, and will miss its second major tournament on the international stage.
