Chelsea duo Abraham, Tomori get maiden competitive England call-ups
Chelsea youngsters Tammy Abraham and Fiyako Tomori have received the call from Gareth Southgate.
The Blues pair were named as part of England's 25-man squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Bulgaria.
Both Abraham (Nigeria) and Tomori (Nigeria/Canada) are eligible to play senior international football, an option that will be nullified should they appear in a competitive fixture for the Three Lions. Abraham, 22, and Tomori, 21, have both played for England at the youth level.
Abraham, who had earned caps for England in friendlies versus Brazil and Germany in 2017, had considered switching his international allegiance to Nigeria.
Southgate dropped England regulars Dele Alli, Jesse Lingard, and Kyle Walker.
The Three Lions look to extend a perfect start to qualifiers when they travel to Prague to face the Czechs on Oct. 11 before visiting Sofia for a match against Bulgaria on Oct. 14.
