Spain's Ruiz ruled out of World Cup qualifiers with leg injury
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabian Ruiz will miss Spain's upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria and Turkey with a muscle injury, the Spanish football federation (RFEF) said Monday.
The 29-year-old arrived for international duty with "muscle discomfort in his left leg" after PSG's 6-3 victory over Toulouse on Saturday.
The RFEF said he left Spain's training camp after medical tests.
The European champions kick off their qualifying campaign for next year's World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada in Sofia on Thursday, before facing Turkey in Konya on September 7.
