Malaga concedes last-second Levante goal to seal relegation
Malaga's decade-long stay in La Liga has come to an end.
The Andalusian outfit is the first side in Europe's top five leagues to suffer relegation, booking a return to the second tier courtesy of Thursday's heartbreaking defeat at Levante.
The Boquerones were set to stay alive until Emmanuel Boateng scored with the final kick of the game in added time to cement Malaga's fate in a 1-0 defeat.

Levante entered the match in 17th, four points clear of the drop and 14 up on last-placed Malaga, meaning a draw or victory for the visitor would have been enough to sustain top-flight football for another week. Boateng had other plans, however, and with the three points, the Valencia side is one step nearer to safety.
For Malaga, a Champions League quarter-finalist in 2012-13, Thursday's result ends 10 years in La Liga.
