Jamie Vardy: Won't be rested despite knocks
Vardy will not be rested for Saturday's match against Bournemouth despite a few niggling injuries and a minor illness, the Leicester Mercury reports. "Yes, when I think it's the right moment to give him a rest, I'll give him a rest," manager Claudio Ranieri said Friday. "At the moment he doesn't need one yet. Now it's important to carry on with him. Jamie has had a little problem for one or two months and of course he didn't train every day. The last few days he had a fever and he's not 100 percent, it's normal."
Analysis:
Vardy's play this season has been spectacular, including setting the Premier League mark by scoring in 11 consecutive games, and while he co-leads the league in goals (15, Romelu Lukaku), he's gone a bit cold lately, failing to score in three straight. However, fantasy owners can continue to play him knowing he'll be on the pitch.
