Robert Elliot: Ready to play against Leicester
Elliot (thigh) is ready to play against Leicester after not playing for the Republic of Ireland during the international break, Lee Ryder of Chronicle Live reports.
Analysis:
Elliot was on the mend and could have played for Ireland, but manager Steve McClaren asked the Irish manager Martin O'Neil to keep him out of the side so that he would be available against Leicester. Those two extra weeks certainly helped his health as he should be fully fit to go. In four matches, Elliot has conceded five goals and kept two clean sheets in Premier League play.
