Tottenham will be without one of its main midfield components when it hosts Everton after Christian Eriksen was ruled out of the fixture with an injury.
The Danish midfielder was unable to overcome a knee injury that kept him out of Tottenham's draw with Leicester City last week, manager Maruicio Pochettino confirmed to reporters ahead of Saturday's fixture.
Losing Eriksen is tough blow for a Tottenham outfit who has yet to win a match this season after seeing its first three matches end with one loss and two draws;
Confirmation of his absence, however, was coupled with positive news that Andros Townsend will be available for selection after recovering from shoulder and ankle injuries.
