Report: West Ham renews interest in signing Tottenham's Emmanuel Adebayor
West Ham United is making another push to sign Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Hammers are eager to add the Tottenham striker, sources tell Peter O'Rourke of ESPNFC, as the east London side struggles with multiple injuries up front.
West Ham was close to adding Adebayor during the January transfer window until Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy blocked the switch.
Adebayor was close to another move this summer when his former manager at Spurs, Tim Sherwood, attempted to bring him to Birmingham to play with Aston Villa. The striker, however, turned down the move because of his preference to remain in London.
The Togo international could slot into the starting team fairly quickly if he joins West Ham. Enner Valencia, Andy Carroll, and Mauro Zarate are sidelined with injuries, while Diafra Sakho's future at the club is uncertain following his arrest Sunday.
