Report: Liverpool, AC Milan agree to terms on loan deal for Mario Balotelli
Liverpool has agreed to let embattled striker Mario Balotelli re-join AC Milan on loan, according to Sky Sports.
The 25-year-old, who arrived in Merseyside last year from Milan in a £16-million deal, is going back to Italy on a free loan.
There is no option to buy, but Liverpool will pay half of the player's wages, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Balotelli is scheduled to have his medical on Tuesday.
Negotiations only took a few days after reports of a meeting between Balotelli and Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic in Florence, where the Rossoneri lost 2-0 to Fiorentina on the weekend. Mihajlovic reportedly agreed to the proposal, and CEO Adriano Galliani also confirmed talks had progressed.
Balotelli scored 30 goals in 54 games in all competitions for Milan between 2013 and 2014.
