Crystal Palace signs Patrick Bamford on season-long loan from Chelsea
Tuesday was a very hectic day for Patrick Bamford.
The 21-year-old striker, who starred while on loan with Middlesbrough last season, nearly leading the club to promotion into the Premier League, was awarded for his scoring exploits with a new three-year contract by parent club Chelsea.
He was then unveiled by Crystal Palace, where he'll spend the coming campaign on loan.

Bamford, who scored 19 goals in the Championship last season en route to being named the league's player of the year, has simultaneously been assured of his future with the Blues while getting the opportunity with Palace to showcase his skills on a consistent basis - something that likely wouldn't have been possible had he remained at Stamford Bridge for the 2015-16 season.
"I’m delighted to sign a new contract with Chelsea. My dream has always been to be part of this club for the long term," the Englishman said. "Chelsea have been fantastic with my development and joining Crystal Palace for this season on loan is the next step for me in my career."
