Alvaro Negredo joins Valencia permanently from Manchester City
Alvaro Negredo won't be returning to the Etihad Stadium after his loan deal with Valencia was made permanent Wednesday.
Manchester City announced that Negredo will move to the Spanish club on a permanent basis following last season's successful return to La Liga on loan where he helped Valencia claim a Champions League qualification place.
The deal with Valencia comes with a £23.8 million price tag, the Manchester Evening News reports.
The Spanish striker spent one season with City, helping them win the Premier League title, but was loaned to Valencia last summer to comply with FIFA Fair Play regulations, according to Sky Sports.
He didn't particularly shine with Valencia, however, as he only managed to score five goals during 20 La Liga appearances.
