Report: Manchester United to complete signing of Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin this week
Morgan Schneiderlin's future continues to grow clearer with each passing day.
The Frenchman has long been expected to leave Southampton this summer amid interest from some of the Premier League's top clubs, with both Arsenal and Manchester United said to be keenly interested in his services.
It emerged last week that the Red Devils were in pole position to complete the signing of the coveted midfielder, and now Mark Ogden of The Telegraph claims an official announcement is just days away, with United set to seal a £24-million deal with the Saints.
Schneiderlin, 25, reported for duty at Southampton's Staplewood training ground on Monday with Ronald Koeman's squad making an early start to their pre-season campaign due to Europa League qualifying round commitments.
It is understood, however, that the France international will travel to Manchester within the next 48 hours to undergo a medical before finalising a move to Old Trafford.
Schneiderlin, who made 26 Premier League appearances last season and was the driving force behind Southampton's run to a Europa League berth, would become the second signing of the summer for United, following in the footsteps of Dutch winger Memphis Depay.
