Harry Kane flattered by Manchester United's interest but intends to stay at Tottenham: 'I am at a big club'
Thanks, but no thanks.
Repeating his plans to remain at Tottenham Hotspur amid reported interest from Manchester United, Harry Kane stressed yet again on Friday that he doesn't plan on leaving White Hart Lane in search of redder pastures.
"I am happy at Spurs and I look forward to the future with Spurs," Kane said, according to Ben Smith of BBC Sport. "I have seen there is interest but that's all I know. It is flattering for other clubs to maybe be interested."
Kane, who notched 21 goals and four assists through 34 Premier League appearances last season, recently appeared on BT Sport 1's "The Clare Balding Show" and claimed that he plans on being at Tottenham for a "very long time."
However, rumours have since persisted, linking the 21-year-old forward with a £40-million move to Old Trafford, which would obviously bode well for Louis van Gaal's side given their struggles in front of goal last season.
When asked if he would struggle to decline an offer from one of the Premier League's big clubs, Kane responded: "Tottenham are one of the big clubs. That is the way people have to see it. I am at a big club."
Coincidentally, Tottenham will kick off their 2016-17 season at Manchester United.
