Ryo Miyaichi leaves Arsenal, joins German club St. Pauli on 3-year deal
London - Arsenal on Thursday confirmed that Japanese international winger Ryo Miyaichi has left the club to join German outfit St. Pauli.
Miyaichi, 22, joined the Gunners in January 2011 but made only a handful of first-team appearances, spending loan spells at Feyenoord, Bolton Wanderers, Wigan Athletic and FC Twente.
He leaves at the same time as defender Semi Ajayi, who has gone to Cardiff City.
"Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank both Ryo and Semi for their contributions to the club, and wish them well for their future careers," the north London club said in a statement.
Miyaichi has signed a three-year deal with St. Pauli, the Hamburg-based club who finished just one point above the relegation zone in the second tier of the Bundesliga last season.
