Heurelho Gomes signs new 3-year contract with Watford
Heurelho Gomes will indeed be standing between the posts when Watford FC return to the Premier League next season.
The Brazilian 'keeper arrived at Vicarage Road last summer, signing a one-year deal that included an option for another 12 months. However, Watford were clearly keen to retain Gomes for the foreseeable future after he helped the club secure promotion to the Premier League with 15 clean sheets through 44 outings.
Here's video of Gomes's first interview since he signed his new deal on Wednesday:
Gomes also took to Twitter on Wednesday to address the comments he recently made regarding Tottenham Hotspur. The 34-year-old shot-stopper, who featured for White Hart Lane for six years, criticised the club for their treatment of Paulhino, Roberto Soldado, and Erik Lamela.
