Just when it looked like he was set to return to the pitch, Rolando Aarons was reportedly ruled out for the remainder of the season Tuesday.
According to the Guardian, the 19-year-old winger - who was set to feature for Newcastle in their fixture versus Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday - suffered a recurrence of the hamstring trouble that has plagued him this season, bringing his 2014-15 campaign to a close.
Aarons' Premier League career got off to a flying start at the beginning of the season, when he scored his first competitive goal for Newcastle in their 3-3 draw versus Crystal Palace. Two months later, he scored in Newcastle's dramatic 2-0 win at Manchester City. However, he's been sidelined since November due to hamstring problems.
