Liverpool will be without the services of striker Daniel Sturridge in Monday's match against Newcastle.

There was no indication in the wake of the Blackburn match that the Englishman, 25, had sustained an injury that could force him to miss playing time, but whatever ailment he picked up was obviously serious enough to keep him out of today's contest.
Raheem Sterling will start up front in Sturridge's stead.
