Arsene Wenger says Koscielny removed as a precaution
There weren't many blemishes for Arsenal during their dominating performance against Liverpool until Laurent Koscielny was forced to come off shortly after halftime with an apparent injury.
However, Arsene Wenger quelled fears about the team's top defender in his post-match interview, explaining to reporters that the French centre-back was removed as a precaution after experiencing a bit of fatigue.
He was removed from the game five minutes after the break, as Arsenal went on to claim a convincing 4-1 victory to strengthen their Champions League position.
It's unclear if he'll be fit to play the team's next match. Although, he could be given a rest considering the team's relatively weak opponent when they visit Burnley on April 11.
Koscielny's been a critical component during the team's impressive league run, helping Arsenal maintain one of the league's top defenses during their seven-game winning streak.
