Report: Daniel Sturridge's hip injury not as serious as initially feared
Good news for Daniel Sturridge on the injury front. What a rarity that is.
The Liverpool Echo notes that initial reports claiming the Englishman, 25, would miss upwards of a month with a hip injury are premature.
There is even some hope that Sturridge could feature in Saturday's contest against Arsenal, though that match may come a tad too quickly for the striker, according to the Echo's Neil Jones.
Indeed, Liverpool have not officially ruled him out of the Arsenal game at this stage, though they are likely to err on the side of caution, given the fact Sturridge has already lost five months to muscle injuries this season.
Sturridge has made only 11 Premier League appearances this season thanks to a series of injuries, with a serious thigh problem and a separate ankle ailment costing him roughly months of the campaign.
