VIDEO: Jonas Gutierrez's message to cancer patients
Jonas Gutierrez made an emotional return to football Wednesday when he came on as a substitute for Newcastle against Manchester United.
St. James's Park was buzzing when the Argentine entered the game with 25 minutes remaining, just months after winning his battle against testicular cancer.
The midfielder was obviously full of adrenaline during the first couple minutes, picking up a yellow card two minutes in. But he told BT Sport after the match that he was able to calm down and almost felt as if things were back to normal as the game went on.
He also shared an inspirational message in his post-game interview that helped him get through his battle with cancer, saying that positivity was one of the keys to beating the disease.
