Lallana, Balotelli heap praise on 'little magician' Coutinho
Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho scored a stunning goal to give the Reds all three points in Sunday's 2-1 victory over Manchester City, and after the match his teammates expressed their delight at having the opportunity to play alongside the diminutive Brazilian.
"The little magician - Coutinho - at the end, coming up with wonderful goal. With players like that we'll go far," Adam Lallana told Sky Sports in a post-match interview, as quoted by ESPN FC.
Striker Mario Balotelli, who did not feature in the match, also had a message for Coutinho, taking to Instagram to laud the 22-year-old.
His message read as follows:
Question: How was the game today? Answer: @phil.coutinho FENOMENO. (Thanks to city fans always in my heart.)
Can you feel the love, Philippe?
