Chelsea's Matic shown red card vs. Burnley, will miss League Cup final vs. Spurs

Hear that? It's the sound of Tottenham supporters worldwide cheering in unison.
Chelsea will be without one of their most integral players in the League Cup final against Spurs, as midfielder Nemanja Matic will miss the contest after he was shown a red card in Saturday's Premier League match against Burnley.
The imperious Serb was sent off after reacting to a poor challenge from Ashley Barnes, rushing out and shoving the striker to the ground as a reckless - and unnecessary - form of retribution for a high tackle that caught him on the shin.

The straight red card carries with it an automatic three-match ban that also applies to the League Cup, so Matic will miss the tournament final against Tottenham on March 1.
