Ashley Cole's agent: Rumor about move to Crystal Palace is 'a disgrace'

Ashley Cole is not going to Crystal Palace. End of story.

That's the message from the left-back's agent, who says rumors linking Cole with a transfer to Palace have absolutely no merit.

Despite limited playing time since his summer move to Roma - Cole has been surpassed in the pecking order by Jose Holebas - his agent David Mannaseh says there is no chance the Englishman makes a return to the club where he spent time on loan back in 2000.

"Ashley is loving life in Italy and in Rome. He has never been happier," he told the Evening Standard, as reported by Sky Sports.

"Whoever has given this information out is a disgrace because all it does is give fans of a football club false hope.

"Ashley is concentrating on trying to win trophies in Italy and, in particular, Serie A this season. Nothing else."
