VIDEO: Aguero chopped down in the area vs. Southampton, booked for diving
Reuters
Everybody watching the match on television saw it. Most of the fans inside St Mary's probably expected Southampton to have conceded a penalty. They should have. It was about as obvious a decision as there will be this season.
Manchester City phenom Sergio Aguero, cutting into the Southampton penalty area, was hacked down by an awful challenge from Jose Fonte just inside the box.
Somehow, referee Mike Jones sauntered over to the Argentine and not only waved away his penalty claim but booked him for simulation.
You be the judge.
Yeah, we have no idea what he was looking at either.
