Arsenal 'keeper Szczesny leaves match vs. United with apparent injury
Reuters
Arsenal is cursed.
Minutes after midfielder Jack Wilshere was forced out of Saturday's match against Manchester United with an apparent ankle injury, the Gunners conceded the opening goal of the match (which they had thoroughly dominated).
If that wasn't bad enough, on the play that led to the goal - which was an own goal by Kieran Gibbs, no less - goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny suffered what appeared to be a rib (or perhaps back) injury.
He was replaced by Emiliano Martinez, who himself is only the second-choice goalkeeper because of an injury to David Ospina.
You can't make this stuff up.
