Danny Ings: (Hamstring) Could Return Saturday
Ings is in contention to play Saturday against West Ham after recovering from a hamstring injury. "Danny Ings has had a good week with us, which we're pleased about," manager Sean Dyche said Thursday. "He managed to get on the grass at the beginning of the week and we thought that it was important to give him a full week's training which he's had, so he definitely comes into our thinking."
Analysis:
Ings was Burnley's best attacking player before suffering the injury in mid-September, and they have greatly struggled offensively for much of the season. He hasn't played a full match since Aug. 30 against Manchester United, so it wouldn't be surprising if he was left out of the starting XI on Saturday in anticipation of having him be fully match fit the following week.
