Wayne Rooney finally gave English fans something to cheer about during a rather dull European Championship qualifying match against Estonia.
After a forgettable first half with few chances for either side, Estonia found themselves down a man when captain Ragnar Klavan picked up his second yellow card for a cynical challenge on Fabian Delph three minutes into the second half.
The game subsequently opened up for the English and, in the 74th minute, they earned a free kick just outside the Estonia box.
Captain Wayne Rooney stepped up and converted a beautiful curving shot with plenty of pace to get past the 'keeper and inside the near post.
The goal was Rooney's 43rd with England, as he inches closer to Bobby Charlton's English record of 49.
