Liverpool announced Thursday that defender Jon Flanagan won't be returning to the squad anytime soon after having an operation performed on his knee.
"Young Jon Flanagan, unfortunately, has just had an operation that will probably have him out for a few months, which is disappointing," manager Brendan Rodgers told LiverpoolFC.com.
He has yet to appear for the Merseyside club this season because of the injury that he picked up during Liverpool's summer tour of the United States.
