This is why Sam Allardyce splurged £12 million ($19 million-plus) on Enner Valencia.
The second half of West Ham's away fixture to Hull City on Monday saw Valencia notch his first goal as a Hammer with a remarkable right-footed strike from about 25 yards out.
While Michael Dawson's attempt to shut down Valencia can be described as soft at best, take nothing away from the Ecuadorian prodigy, whose shooting talents are often forgotten when you consider his surreal vertical.

It's also worth noting that it took West Ham 50 minutes just to register a shot on target.
