Wayne Rooney quietly climbed the list of the Premier League's all-time scorers Sunday while the new boys at Manchester United stole the show during the team's convincing victory over Queens Park Rangers.
Rooney's goal came just before halftime and gave United a dominating 3-0 lead before they eventually buried the London club 4-0.
Henry only needed 258 appearances to reach the mark, while Rooney needed 377 appearances to match one of the Premier League's most prolific scorers.
Rooney could match, and possibly pass, Andrew Cole's 189 goals before the season finishes, but might struggle to match Alan Shearer's all-time record of 260 before his time in the Premier League comes to a conclusion.
