Radamel Falcao on hectic past week: 'I have lived it like a kid'
It's one been one hell of a week for Radamel Falcao.
After completing a £6-million loan move from AS Monaco to Manchester United on the final day of the transfer window, El Tigre then flew to Miami to join Colombia's national team for their 1-0 friendly defeat against Brazil. While in Florida, he was reportedly also attempting to obtain a fast-track work visa at the British Consulate in order to make his United debut against Queens Park Rangers at Old Trafford on Sept. 14.
But, as his cool composure in front of goal would suggest, Falcao appears unfazed by the busy lifestyle.
"I think I have lived this week very intensely," Falcao told the Observer via the Guardian. "It hasn't been the most comfortable week to work in, with all of the changes, but I have lived it like a kid. I have had the same feeling as when I debuted for the national team. It was very exciting and special and I enjoyed being back.
"I now leave in a very good condition to join my club and I hope to be available next week. I go to Manchester with lots of hopes to try to win a place in the team and then come back to play for Colombia. It's better to not overthink and let things happen normally instead."
Friday night's friendly between Colombia and Brazil marked Falcao's first match for Los Cafeteros following an eight-month lay-off due to a torn ACL in his left knee. Judging by the "Fal-cao-o! Fal-ca-o!" chants that rang out around at Sun Life Stadium, Colombia supporters are happy to have the 28-year-old back on the pitch.
