Report: Sandro undergoing medical with QPR ahead of £10-million move from Spurs
Queens Park Rangers have been linked with a host of strikers in the closing hours of the transfer window, but it seems their most imminent deal involves a holding midfielder.
The Daily Mail reports that Sandro is on the verge of joining the club from Tottenham, noting that the combative Brazilian is undergoing a medical at Loftus Road ahead of a £10-million move.
Manager Harry Redknapp is well-acquainted with the 25-year-old, having coached him during his own spell at Spurs, and now seems destined to be reunited with the player in a move that will add some steel to the club's midfield.
Sandro was not in the Tottenham squad that was hammered 3-0 by Liverpool on Sunday, and did not look to be a part of Mauricio Pochettino's plans at White Hart Lane.
