Chelsea send Lucas Piazon to Eintracht Frankfurt on season-long loan

LONDON - Chelsea announced on Thursday that Brazilian attacking midfielder Lucas Piazon has joined German side Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan.

Piazon, 20, joined Chelsea in 2012 and spent the second half of the 2012-13 campaign on loan at Malaga before a nine-month stint at Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem last term, during which he scored 11 times in 29 games.

The former Sao Paulo youth-team player was a member of the Under-20 Brazil squad that won the Toulon Tournament last month.
