Emre Can dealing with minor calf issue, subbed off vs. Preston North End as 'precaution'

Emre Can's Liverpool debut didn't last too long.
After picking up what Brendan Rodgers is describing as a "minor calf issue" in Liverpool's 2-1 win over Preston North End on Saturday, Can was taken off in the 20th minute and replaced by Jordan Ibe.
The good news, however, is that Can was subbed off simply as a precaution, and Rodgers liked what he saw from the German midfielder in the opening minutes of the match.
"Young Emre was excellent; he showed some lovely touches on the ball," Rodgers said. "He's got power and pace. He just had a little bit of tightness in his calf, so as a precaution we took him off early on."
