Rio Ferdinand officially signs 1-year contract with QPR

Queens Park Rangers have officially made their first signing since gaining promotion back into the Premier League.

The veteran defender, who spent the past 12 seasons with Manchester United, posted the following message on his Twitter account after putting pen to paper on a one-year deal with the club:
