Kieran Richardson is set to remain in England's top flight next season.
Matt Law of The Telegraph is reporting that the 29-year-old midfielder will make the move from recently relegated Fulham to Aston Villa.
Richardson is expected to complete a medical inside the next 48 hours and become Villa's third signing of the summer.
With only a year remaining on his contract, it is believed Villa are only having to pay a small fee for the 29-year-old.
Richardson joined Fulham on a three-year deal from Sunderland in 2012 and scored four goals in 31 appearances last season while also spending time at left-back.
