Stones suffered a nasty cut near his eye during Tuesday's Premier League win over Newcastle, the Daily Mail reports.

Analysis:

Stones suffered the injury five minutes before halftime, but was able to get stitched up and bandaged before coming out for the second half. He has been a steady player next to Sylvain Distin, although with Phil Jagielka (hamstring) expected back soon from injury, Stones may find himself back on the bench.
