Myhill out of Wales friendly
LONDON, Nov 12, 2013 (AFP) - West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Boaz Myhill has been ruled out of Wales's friendly game with Finland due to injury, the Football Association of Wales announced on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old will remain with his club to undergo treatment on an Achilles problem and a ligament injury in his left thumb. Wales manager Chris Coleman has not announced a replacement.
"Personally I am going to need treatment on a couple of injuries I've picked up in recent weeks and need to get over," Myhill told the West Brom website.
"I've not trained for a while and I'm glad for the rest because it means I can do some work in the gym with the physios so the break has come at a good time for me."
The Wales squad is due to convene on Wednesday, ahead of the game against the Finns in Cardiff on Saturday.
